­The non-profit association wants to support the development of the town twinning Gotha - Adwa/Ethiopia. Currently, the association is helping the orphanage in Adua.

­The association Rumänienhilfe Gotha runs the "Gotha-Haus" in Resita/Romania. In this institution, children and young people can receive a warm meal and care. In the past, the association has packed Christmas packages for Romania. The Rumänienhilfe regularly attracts attention with events.

­The association has been organising aid projects for the central Ukrainian region of Cherkasy and Kirovograd since 1993. The projects include the support of an orphanage in Dumanzy.
